REMEMBERING THE EARLY DAYS - PART 1

Present day residents, Andy Cooper and Annette Wiseman (ms Logue, remember the early days of Cranhill. Both of their families moved to the area from overcrowded old tenements - the Coopers from Dennistoun and the Logue's from Dalmarnock. Andy moved to Tynecastle Crescent, Springboig in 1948 and had a ringside seat to watch the eastward march of Cranhill from Ruchazie Road to the water tower at Stepps Road. Annette's family were amongst the first families to move into Sumburgh Street (west Cranhill).
