Celebrating 10 Years of the Cranhill Community Project
In June 2011 a commemorative booklet to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Cranhill Community Project (CCP) was published.
If the stories communities share about their past helps define them, then this is an important and positive chapter in the Cranhill narrative. It is a story of aspiration and resilience.
From its beginnings in 2001 CCP has played a vital part in enhancing the quality of life of Cranhill residents.
In text and photographs the 32 page booklet documents the incarnation of CCP from the vision of its founders to its embodiment today as a valued community resource.
The first part outlines the key stages in the CCP’s evolution, and the second illustrates the wide range of educational and leisure services and activities on offer.
Overall the message is loud and clear - Cranhill has a community facility of which it can be justly proud.
At the AGM in June 2011 the Cranhill Community Project was redesignated the Cranhill Development Trust.
Undoubtedly, the experiences and stories of the first ten years will provide a secure springboard for the Trust’s activities for the next ten, and beyond.
